About the Psychotherapist
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by life’s demands? You’re not alone. Many of us carry the pressure of expectations, trying to hold everything together while feeling uncertain, exhausted, or disconnected from ourselves and surrounding. Life may often leave us caught between who we were and who we are becoming.
I am Urvashi Mendpara, a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with CRPO and founder of Rise and Heal Psychotherapy. I provide accessible online therapy across Ontario for adults, women, Gen-Z and Millennial clients, and immigrant communities. I support people navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, life transitions, grieving and loss.
My approach is warm, welcoming, collaborative, and culturally sensitive. In therapy with me, you’ll find a space where your feelings are met with compassion, understanding, and respect – a space where you are heard, seen, and supported exactly as you are.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent more than five years practicing medicine in India and witnessing firsthand the intimate relationship between emotional and physical health. Immigrating to Canada presented the challenge of rebuilding identity, purpose, and a sense of belonging in another culture. These have left an indelible imprint on how I am present with others in therapy - which means with empathy, integrity, and unwavering presence. I understand the fortitude required to balance multiple responsibilities, the solitude of life's turning points and successes, and the courage to reclaim your life and start over.
I aim to help you step into your strengths, embrace resilience, and move forward with confidence and clarity. Together, we create a safe space to explore, reflect, and grow – so you can rise above fear, reclaim your sense of self, and thrive in the life you are building.
